     Welcome!

The Early Bird Violet Club has been meeting regularly since 1981 in Birmingham, Alabama, to learn more about African violets and gesneriads, our favorite botanical addictions. 
We hope you'll join us and learn more about these fascinating, beautiful plants. We stay busy with several ongoing projects, including:
  • Monthly meetings (no meeting November or December)
  • Yearly show and/or sale

Past projects include:
  • Hosting the 2008 and 2018 Dixie Convention and Shows
  • Restoration of a 60 year old scrapbook from one of the first African violet clubs in existence
